Communicate, Communicate, Communicate

You know what they say- communication is key! This is so incredibly true when it comes to handling responsibilities like being a MOH. It is going to require a lot of planning and cross communicating with more than one person at a time. Being okay with speaking up and saying what needs to be said will only benefit you and ensure that the bride has a perfectly planned wedding day. It may seem messy in the moments, but stick to your guns and listen to what the bride’s true stressors, wants, and needs are. We promise that it will all be worth it in the end and the bride will be forever grateful to you. Things to be honest and communicate about?

-Budget

-Planning possibilities and limits

-Décor ideas

-Guest list size and who to invite (or not invite)

Have Fun and Keep Perspective

These are the most important tips we have for you today. By communicating and staying a loyal friend, you will be ensured a fun and meaningful planning process with your bride BFF. She will ask you for a lot, but you will do it because you are more than prepared to help her in any way. She might get frustrated and out-of-hand at times, but you will make her realized that it is all going to work out, by simply talking her through it. Finally, she might forget the big picture of the planning process, which will call for your biggest duty yet- being her best friend and ensure her that all of the stress is for one thing, to make sure that she has the best wedding day and one of the best days in her life.

We are so excited to provide you with the tips that will help you be the ultimate MOH but also help your best friend realize how great she’s got it with you. Not only will you help her have the perfect wedding day, the both of you are going to create some of the most meaningful memories and have a strong foundation to your relationship. If that isn’t the best part of your role as maid of honor, we’re not sure what is. Best of luck to all of you MOHs!
