Pros and Cons of a Morning Wedding

August 18, 2015

Although weddings are generally held in the evening, it has become more common for couples to have their wedding in the first part of the day. What are the pros and cons of a morning wedding though? Read on, find out more and weigh in everything, so that you take the right decision.

  • First and foremost, morning weddings have their own charm – and they can be just as elegant and classy as evening weddings are. Of course, the dress code will differ a bit, but you will not lose “points” in style if you have a morning wedding – on the contrary.

  • Furthermore, morning weddings tend to be less expensive, precisely because not a lot of people book venues and vendors in the first part of the day. Thus, if you want to save some money, a morning wedding will be a great choice for you.

  • Last, but definitely not least, morning weddings are perfect if you don’t want to serve alcohol at your wedding. Of course, you can have an alcohol-free wedding in the evening as well, but it is much more likely that people will not even want alcohol at a morning wedding.

  • On the downside, morning weddings are not “fun” in the traditional sense of the word – there’s no dancing, no activities and the music is usually kept on a lower, more relaxing key. So, if you want the kind of wedding that’s going to turn into a huge, unforgettable party, a morning wedding is most likely not for you.
