If your guest don’t RSVP, what you can do?
Sending out wedding invitations is a very important step of every wedding planning process. Together with their invitations, most brides choose to send out an RSVP as well – so that they know how many places to book with their wedding and how much food/drinks they should order as well. However, what can you do if your guests don’t RSVP in due time? Here are some ideas that might help you out:
To make sure you boost your odds of getting as many RSVPs as possible (and in due time too), set the deadline for sending the RSVPs 1-2 weeks before the actual deadline at which you have to know the exact numbers for your caterers. This way, if there are any late RSVPs, you will still be able to take them into consideration.
If you see that you still have guests who haven’t sent their RSVPs by the time your catering deadline approaches, simply give them a call. This is a better solution than email because it does not involve waiting for a reply. Sometimes, people simply forget to send out their RSVPs or believe they have already done this (when, in fact, your cards are probably “hiding” under a huge pile of mail) – therefore, it will be perfectly acceptable to call everyone who hasn’t responded yet.
You don’t have much explanation to do – simply ask your guests politely if they will be able to attend their wedding, as you are preparing to give your caterers the exact number of people who will be there.
