Wedding Dinner or Hors d'oeuvres?

January 7, 2015

Your guests will not attend your wedding with the sole purpose of eating – but food is definitely one of the most important parts of a wedding reception. Truth be told, there are a lot of ideas to take into consideration when choosing what to serve your guests with – so make sure you weigh in every option. For example, will you go for a sit-down dinner or will you serve hors d’oeuvres? Here are the things you should think of when deciding between these two options:

  • Do you want a very elegant, traditional wedding? Generally speaking, very traditional weddings are very formal too. And formal events go best with sit-down dinners. However, it’s entirely up to you whether or not you go for this option.

  • Hors d’oeuvres can be very elegant too. Don’t rule out the option of having hors d’oeuvres served at your wedding just because you think they are not elegant. Choose them the right way and invest in having them served by professional waiters and your wedding will definitely look really stylish.

  • How long will the wedding last? If you have booked your venue for 3-4 hours only, having hors d’oeuvres served instead of a sit-down dinner would be a better option for you. This way, your guests can grab some delicious bites and then they can join the dance floor to have fun.

  • Consider the costs. Many brides and grooms think a sit-down dinner is more expensive than a buffet or having some hors d’oeuvres served at their wedding. However, this depends (a lot) on what exactly you are serving. Just as an example: hors d’oeuvres can get quite pricy if you plan on serving caviar.

Regardless of the food you plan on serving at your wedding, rest assured that Bella Rose Estate will be prepared. Our venue is not only great-looking, but extremely versatile too and it will surely add that “elegant” feeling to your wedding no matter what food you choose to serve.
